I so need to do my homework, and I know that I will regret it, but just couldn’t help myself. I painted again :P

And this time it’s actually painting, cause I believe there’s no single place on that piece where I didn’t brush anything.

First I wanted to play with J2, but I ended up with angsty “Dean’s deal” stuff, which I still think could be better, but I guess I just don’t know yet how to make it. Anyway, hope you liked it.

*I snag this title from one really awesome story. It’s The Year Of Letting Go written by the awesome runedgirl. You should totally go and read her story ;) Hope author won’t mind!

Ok, so, what is this? Dean’s year is almost up, and Sam still can’t let him go. Behind Dean’s back is a hellhound waiting for him and beside Sam’s back is an empty room – from now on this is what he’ll have.

And I know, I sucked at painting Dean’s face and Sam’s hand…lol Still have a lot of things to figure out.

I disagree with Dean's face. it was done beautifully! The critique I will give about the hand is that it looks flat and maybe a bit disproportionate. Looks like you kinda just gave up on it. Don't! Add some shading and some details and it will fit in better with the whole composition. Otherwise this is really beautifully done!

This is very nicely done, I think. Did you take inspiration from the rock-paper-scissors scene in "Heart," by chance, since that's what the boys looked like? (Their stance and whatnot)

If so, I think that's awesome - that you were able to take some inspiration from a humorous scene and make an incredibly angsty and sad piece with it. Props for that!

Well, I started it as J2 piece *OMG!* and the basic cap was from the s2 gag reels, when they try to shoot that scene. But then I ended up manipping Dean's face and making... this. :D

Ad yes, I think it's pretty funny - it was really a funny scene and I made from it something really angsty and dark...

Oh and there's my favourite J2 moment ever, with the "Noooo..." and the Texan and Jensen fixating on Jared's mouth. And on top a beautiful sad image, ah me, season three finale, still hurts.

Well, you just make a manip (or use a pic), then make a composition in Photoshop or any other painting program and just start to paint over the image. It's kinda easy and fun actually :)

Very nice!... per the hand, I suspect it merely looks disproportionate because it doesn't have the level of detail that some of the rest has (so visually you have a hard time seeing the bend of knuckles). I love the hellhound/ empty room imagery behind each of the boys.

This is just AWESOME. Dean's face is perfect, everything is perfect, you have NOTHING to worry about. The story is very long and I'm not very friendly with English but your notes explain it all.

The author most definitely does NOT mind -- in fact, I'm totally thrilled that you were moved enough by my story to snag the title. It actually fits quite well, there's so much emotion conveyed here, much like I wanted to convey in my story. Would you mind if I put a link in my LJ as well? (You'd have to give me instructions, I tend to be rather clueless about such things).

I love this, and it totally made my day that you tied it to my fic. Awesome job :)

oh, WOW! Hi there :) I read your story awhile back, and you know, I LOVED it to pieces, because ....oh, Dean...That was really emotionally and I think I'll re-read it on summer <3
I don't know I remembered this title when I was making this piece, you know, in your story it has kinda different meaning, but when I remembered it, I just couldn't NOT to use it :)

wow this is great! You really painted Dean's face very well, actually! Sam's hand *does* kind of look like he has a latex glove on, but you really can't notice since it's sandwhiched between so much other awesomeness.
That room behind Sam looks so desolate... it almost gives me shivers...
