I would really like to say thank you to nargynargy for her tutorial. Textures are from there, and also a few ones from ohfreckle that haven't been mentioned in the tutorial post.

This is my first try, so be easy on me. I really liked it, and I guess I'll scare you with my art some more in the future =)

Я рисовала в фотошопе, урок был по корелу, как я поняла, так что у меня какое-то время заняло "приспосабливание" урока под фотошоп. А в общей сложности часов 6, с перерывом на кофий))) И плюс т.к. это был первый раз - оч долго просто пробовала.

How exactly does 'Paintover' work - I have a graphics tablet so hopefully that'll come in handy ^_^

Well, I'm not a specialist lol So i guess you probably should google some tutorials.
But paintover works that way - you choose the basic photo (or picture, whatever) that you'd like to draw, or include in your composition piece, then create a new layer (if you work in Photoshop for example) and just start painting, choosing colors with an eyedropper tool. So basically it's a matter of patience, time, and your painting skills.

A really nice piece, hon, interesting textures and positioning, and mostly I like that you've used the portrait format instead of landscape. It gives a different look and forces you to arrange things differently. I like it a lot.

lovely work! I love what you've done with textures and the wide range of colour. My favourite part has to be the mass of brushwork round Dean's face, its a wonderful style - almost vector like :D

This first try was more like a Photoshop thing and less like a painting thing. In the future I would really like to learn how to actually paint with the table pen :P So thank you very very much for your tutorials!
