The entire freaking 2009 year of vidding.

So...it's been a long ride, and I guess it's time to sum it up. I've spent almost an hour just doing it O.O
First of all. my personal goals from 2008 to 2009? From here:

for 2009:
- Try Adobe Premier. It`s a hell of a program and i really wanna beat it.
Still wanna try it lolI suck at choosing different fandoms...

~~- Try to make not only AU videos, but also some "theme" videos, with deep meaning, emotion.~~
In fact, right now it's kinda harder for me to make an AU vid lol

- Try to play not only with effects, but also with the editing. As I said, it`s not always good when your video is just like one big flash or effect. So yeah, deep meaningful videos with simple editing :P
I definitely started to play with the editing in my videos. Simple and slow editing now is one of my favorite types.

Man, do I really have a life?..

My favorite video this year (of my own):
I really liked my J2 vids, it was something new for me, and I definitely liked the result.
Also I liked a few of my "special" vids, like "The Victim", "Real", "On The Edge", "You're Real".
And somehow I really love my "Ease My Pain" vid, a lot thanks to the amazing song ♥
"The One" mostly because of Sam. It was something like insta-vid thing after 4x16 ep.
And "222", just 'cause.

My least favorite video this year:
I'd say "I can see your light" (obviously that's why I didn't post it, neh), also "Halo And Wings" was something...I don't even know what it was lol That's it I think.

Most successful video
"Ease My Pain". I feel myself like it's something different from my safe zone.
My Sweet Charity vid "The Chain", big bang vid for "Empty Room", also my J2 vids and wincest ones.
Also "Evidence Of Faith" - I guess I can make a Sam vid properly ))
Oh, and "Oh Death" vid, the song made it all :D

Video most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
I'd say "Don't Go And Leave Me", maybe because of the story :\
"Never Turn Your Back On It" - I think Dean deserves better :P
And "in The Deep".

Most fun video:
Well, The Big Bang this year was definitely fun, as well as those other videos for fics that I made. It was something totally new for me and I totally loved the experience.
I really loved the process of making "The Victim", because the video is really disturbing.
"Afraid" - somehow it was too adult for all that I've done before :P
And of course my J2 vids - all those moments? Smiles? Jokes? COME ON people! :D

Video with single sexiest moment:
Mmm..."My Sweet prince". I mean, COME ON, IT'S PLACEBO!
Also "Afraid". Oh, and "Like Pierrot The Clown".
And yes, I've been told I should work in that "area", thank you very much.

Biggest vid fail
Mmm..."Halo and Wings"? lol I don't what I was on when I made it...

Hardest video to make:
Definitely Big Bang.
Also my Sweet Charity vids.
Both.
"Monsters" because there's a LOT of manips, black eyes and stuff, and "The Chain" because I struggled a lot with the storyline. After all, I think, it was worth it :)

Most unintentionally telling video:
I guess all of my AUs. The thing is, when I finish an AU vid, I show it to one or two people, who know what I actually do. And when I get a response, like, totally different to the story I wanted to make, I'm like "M'kaaaay...I'll stick with your version" :D

The things I've learned this year:
- New technics of editing and styles. I played a lot with motion blur in the first half of the year, and now I'm more like "sharp" vidder. I mean, I like the effect and I like clean image and stuff. I guess I just got a little tired of motion blur.
- No need to rush. If you're not sure in something, give it sometime.

For 2010:
- NEW FANDOMS! I need to try something new. The problem is - every time it all comes down to mah show. :\
- Finish all of my projects. And then, maybe, take a little break. I actually wanna try to paint more.
- A few more remasterings. At least two.

It amazes me that you can make so many and but you never sacrifice the quality.

"NEW FANDOMS!" I have on my list to watch vids from other fandoms - so if you do this then I will definitely be watching new fandom vids! (See, very selfish on my part!).

You know, the funny thing is, that I think there should be such category *lol* This year I definitely started to pull this trailer thing off. I mean, in my first year of vidding I didn't do something like this, and this year I started and it was like, natural thing. ))

haha, I did this meme last year, and the quantity was pretty much the same *DUH* lol

It's funny cause many of my friends say this, about the quality I mean. I always think that I start\started to repeat myself, you know? it always bugs me, 'cause I always think that I shouldn't do this vid or that vid, because I know there was\is something like that, but still - I do it because I love the song too much, and I just need to get it out of my system, you know? I can't quite explain this thing, but I constantly go through it. I think one of my goals for 2010 will be "make LESS videos. Start to make LESS than 3 videos per month" :\ I mean, vidding is the only thing I'm somewhere near good at, and while vidding I'm, like, rest from the RL worl *rolls eyes*

Ok, stop here. I guess I just need to talk about it with someone lol

Hee! Talk away darlin'. I'm sitting here putting together my sister-in-laws wedding video, so I need all the distractions I can get!! :)

And making vids 'cause you love the song and need to get it out of your system is a perfect reason to make a vid! I know we put our vids out there for people to watch, but surely it's got to be for ourselves as well yeah? You are just extremely lucky, I think, to be able to hear a song and get a vid together so quickly. I am totally procrastinating on my next vid because I know it's going to take a lot of work and be hard! I sometimes wish I could work as quickly. I have about 5 vids I want to make NOW!

And why do I suspect that vidding is not the only thing your are good at!!? (*koff*, brilliant at!)

I wouldn't lessen the amount of vids you make just 'cause you feel you should. So many people love 'em. And you know, one day it might just all be over. As in that fire and passion may just move on to something else, so you gotta enjoy it while you can. That's what I reckon anyway.

Oh and to have quality AND quantity on your side! Wow... I'll have some of that!

It's just, sometimes, when I see a vid, like, real good vid that I LOVE, I start to think, like, this is the person who has a real life AND who can make such awesome videos, with thoughts and meaning and that technically so well executed. I just feel weird at times like this :\ And I'm not sure if this is a good weird.
And yeah, most of my vids I do for myself (probably that why there're so many - I'm a selfish bastard hahaha), but then again, I always wonder whether people are tired of me or not. Yet.

If I sit, like, yesterday - I haven't done anything yesterday, and I had pretty much a free evening. And I was wondering if other vidders have suc evenings, too, or do they always do something? And I felt like I just wasted my time. And yes, I felt like this right after I posted this meme, right after I coded all of my 50+ vids of this year ROFL
I have 6 or so projects right now, and I'm really thinking about giving up on a few of them, because...I don't know :( Maybe it's not that I work quickly, but that I work almost everyday?..

It's weird how doing the meme stirs things up. I was feeling kinda weird about everything after I did mine too. Not sure why... just that feeling of *meh*. I want to really push the boundries sometimes, but just don't feel like I have it in me... blah, blah, all of that kinda stuff.

The thing is I just can't help myself (maybe it's the same for you?) ... I just HAVE to vid when I get the chance. Thing is, I don't have all the opportunities I'd like. But yeah, maybe that's a good thing. Sometimes when I do have heaps of time I feel like I've wasted a day if all I've done is sit at the computer making a vid. I don't know. It's a tough one.

Ah yes. That's interesting too. I keep getting peeps subscribe on YT and say "Look forward to more" etc. and I feel sometimes I might be letting them down if I don't post a vid for a while. Maybe it's the same for you? I mean, wow! You have a HEAP of subscribers.... :)

At the end of the day I suppose you just have to go with what you feel happy with. I haven't had my editing program open for almost a week and actually that was really liberating. And in fact I still don't feel like starting anything just yet either (wedding does not count!! *g*). I'm thinking, but not actually doing anything. It's nice. :)

TOTALLY! I really feel like...I don't know, like I'm not useful if I waste a free evening\day\night\morning? It's funny how it works with fandom - If I procrastinate and don't do my homework, I certainly wouldn't feel like that oO

I constantly bitch about the University, and really - it takes a LOT of time to study, but somehow when it's weekend - voila - and there's another new vid. WEIRD.

Well, yes and no. I don't feel that kind of pressure. Not that much anyway. I know there're people who likes my vids, and they don't care if I make one everyday or every month.

GOLD words! I mean, I'm the kind of viider who can make himself vid. I mean, even if I'm not in the mood, but I know that I need to finish something (speaking of deadlines and stuff) I can make myself start and then the mood will come eventually and that's it. I can sit through the night after that lol Sometimes I'm more in the mood to watch a movie or a TV show, or make icons or a picspam. So yeah, you totally right about that one :)

I'm planning NOT to start working on anything else this year either. LOL I mean, I'm done for this year, and though I'm pretty much sure I'll start right after it's January the 1st, I still want to think that I have this kinda of vacation lol
