Art: Fated Lives and Broken Trees

I'm going for a little road trip tomorrow morning, and not sure when I'll come back. So for now, while I'm trying to pack I wanna show you this.

This is a combination of painting\photoshop, so I really don't know how to call it. Have you seen The Fountain movie? I think if you've seen it, you'll totally get the idea of this piece.

The thing is, there are a few ideas, meaning and signs in it, and even I haven't seen them while I was painting it. So, I don't tell all the secrets, but I'll give cookies for all of you who tells me what he think there is ;)

I see the star that is inside of the protection symbol Sam and Dean have a tattoo of, I also see a screaming face. I also see Sam and Dean but I'm guessing you meant for us to see them ;)
Underneath the black trees, the dirt part that's supposed to be a mirror image, it sort of looks like an upside down crown and right in the middle of it I see a face, there seems to be a bunch of faces down there and one of the faces actually looks like a serpent's. It's amazing! The longer I look at the more I see in it, and the scarier it looks, I love it! Great Job.

All I can think is that Sam and Dean are travelling down a highway, leading to a decision which could pull them apart between Heaven and Hell. While the broken tree symbolises the breakdown of trust between them, and conflect in their relationship.

It's extradinarily beautiful. I flipped it upside down to see if there was more to be understood. To me, birds are very spiritual...so the spirits are on Dean's side of the tree while Sam's is kinda bleak.

Wow, there's so much in there. Apart from the obvious visual treat that is, I love the amount of symbolism you've used. The tree, symbol of so many things - tree of life, tree of knowledge, Yggdrasil the Norse "World Tree", the roots of which lead to Asgard... Or Hell... The crows, which have different symbolism in different cultures but are often associated with the dead,. I love how Sam's side of the tree is dark and ominous-looking, whilst Dean's side is bright as if the sun is about to break through. And underneath the tree roots - heaven, hell, somewhere in between? Or just another road that goes on and on? Whatever, it's gorgeous, and it made my brain work for a few minutes, lol! <3
